Hi, I’m Amelia
and dinner doesn’t have to be hard.

Real recipes. Real kitchens. Food that people actually want to make again.

Meet Amelia

That 5:47 PM feeling — you know it.

This little corner of the internet started the same way a lot of good food stories do: standing in the kitchen, trying to figure out what to make for dinner.

Some nights cooking feels magical. Other nights? It’s eggs, toast, and “everyone grab a plate before soccer practice.” Real life is somewhere in the middle, right?

Recipes Amelia was created for people who love food but don’t want cooking to feel overwhelming. I’ve always believed meals don’t need complicated ingredients or chef-level skills to feel special.

Sometimes the recipes we make over and over are the simplest ones — the slightly messy banana bread, the pasta you throw together from fridge leftovers, the crispy chicken recipe your family suddenly asks for every single week.

Why I Started

Food brings people together. Everyday version.

Not in the fancy magazine way — just the everyday version of it. The quick breakfasts. The birthday cakes. The holiday kitchen chaos. The recipes scribbled on paper towels.

The meals everyone quietly goes back for seconds for.

At some point, I realized I wanted a place to collect those recipes and share them with other people trying to do the exact same thing: cook meals that feel comforting, doable, and worth making again.

“So Recipes Amelia became that place.”

Recipe Philosophy

Every recipe here is built around a few simple things.

Because nothing is worse than spending money on ingredients only for a recipe to turn out disappointing. I take that personally, honestly.

Every recipe goes through real testing — not a single try and publish. If something doesn’t work, it gets rewritten until it does.

  • Easy-to-follow instructions anyone can understand
  • Ingredients people can actually find at the store
  • Clear, step-by-step cooking directions
  • Realistic preparation and cooking times
  • Helpful notes from actual kitchen testing
A Little About Me

Behind the recipes.

When I’m not testing recipes, I’m usually reorganizing the kitchen for absolutely no reason, buying ingredients I already had at home, or convincing myself I only need one more baking pan.

I love recipes that are practical, cozy, and forgiving. The kind where if you forget an ingredient or accidentally overbake something by three minutes, dinner isn’t ruined and nobody cries about it.

Well… hopefully nobody cries.

Thanks for Being Here ♥

Whether you’re here for a quick dinner idea, a baking project, or just scrolling while hungry at midnight — welcome.

I’m really glad you’re here.

How recipes are created & tested

Recipe Testing

Every recipe is tested multiple times in a real home kitchen before it’s published. If it fails, it gets rewritten.

Kept Updated

Recipes are revisited and updated whenever improvements are found or reader feedback reveals a better approach.

Accessible Ingredients

No exotic specialty items. Everything called for should be easy to find at a regular grocery store.

Honest Timings

Prep and cook times are realistic. No recipe promises 10 minutes when it actually takes 40.
